Not something I would have noticed before 2006, the year my daughter began her apprenticeship in tattooing.
Now she is a well established tattoo artist in Phoenix AZ, and we are very proud of her for finding something she loves which also allows her to be a real artist. All of her work is custom and one of her specialities is reworking old tattoos.

Happy National Tattoo Day to my daughter and all other body art professionals

(7,637 posts)Your daughter is very talented.
Looking at the website also shattered one of my misconceptions. I thought all tattoo artists were themselves heavily tattooed. Not so for your daughter and yet she is clearly a recognized professional in her field.

(22,270 posts)She has some on her lower body, but still quite nice. She designed 2 of them.
I will share your comments with her.

(21,904 posts)what a great portfolio of tattoo art. I love the flower/mandala type drawings with the draped dangly things (I'm sure "draped dangly things" is a professional art term ). Then I looked at the pictures of her studio and she has a draped dangly thing hanging in her window too.
just beautiful.
Happy National Tattoo Day!

(22,270 posts)It won first place in fabric arts and she placed third for portfolio in the city wide middle school competition. I love that she still keeps it with her.

(7,659 posts)I bookmarked in case that I ever make a trip out west. I would love to have one reworked and some scars covered up. Very impressive!
