Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI spotted the poison ivy before it 'spotted' me. Get it? Spotted my skin with a rash. :)
Clipped it, disposed of it, and sprayed the stumps with brush kill. So, I guess today goes on the positive side.

(28,817 posts)We used to go there on a day trip about every third year. In full bloom it looks like an impressionist painting.

This is a daylily called Websters Pink Wonder. The flowers are the size of dinner plates.

(23,295 posts)Found some stuff at Lowe's for $7. It's working great. Moving the day lily leaves and pinning them back with a stick. Just a dash on the leaves kills to the root. Careful, the oil can last up to 5 years! Even on dead plants.

(22,124 posts)and/or poison oak pretty severely. Had to take shots and/or pills for literally years to build up my immunity, so now, if I catch, it pretty well just stays in one spot on me (doesn't spread all over me). This is one of the reasons why I avoid going to the woods etc. (and ticks which are awful this year per my former neighbors in the Ozarks).
A shame since I do enjoy nice walks in the woods and enjoying the wildlife.
I presume you didn't burn the P. Ivy after you've cut, you can catch P. Ivy even from burning it in a compost pile (which I have done, stupid me, I didn't know it at the time).
Take care and thanks all for posting the beautiful flowers, and refreshing snapshots of nature. I just might wonder over to the Botanical Gardens in St. Louis City if it doesn't get too humid or have too many tourists today (I live somewhat close so it's not a major trip (couple miles)).
