1. Now that sure brings back some old time memories

of me and my dad singing along to that song every time it was on the radio. I sang, "How high's the water, Papa?" And he sent the refrain.

I'm a terrible singer, but my dad had a beautiful voice. He knew all the popular tunes, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Tex Ritter, Riders in the Sky, all the old cowboy crooners from back in the day. All my brothers and sisters could sing, but they wouldn't be caught dead singing cowboy music, so my pops let me be his backup singer.
