I was in Illinois during late summer one year when they were in full swing. I rolled up the window and they got louder. Go figure.

It's been raining a lot and the frogs are seriously noisy! And we also have cicadas, so the chorus of tree frogs, leopard frogs and the ocassional bullfrog with cicada accompaniment is really really loud.
