Arg! This song has been stuck in my head for 2 days now

Trying out Spotify and one of my stations is heavy on Steely Dan. Not a bad thing, mind you, but I hadn’t heard this song in a long time and now it’s stuck. Really stuck. I literally woke up this morning (ahem, afternoon- it’s my day off), and my first thought was, “No static at alllll....”

Help.

Mom and Dad were a huge Zep fans. 1,2,4, and Houses were always in heavy rotation at the house when I was a kid. Hadn’t heard that one in many years (IV burnout hit me, hard, in the early 90’s) and enjoyed the listen.

For a couple years now, I’ve been enjoying music reactions on Youtube. It’s made a lot of the (amazing!) classic rock I was burned out on come back into focus. It’s also made me realize I took freakin’ awesome music, the best music, for granted. It’s so cool watching young 20-somethings get their heads and/or faces melted off by the Who and Zep. Yes and Floyd reactions are my fav. Everyone listens to When the Levee Breaks and Stairway, but I never see Four Sticks, Going to CA, or the Battle of Evermore. Shame, that.

I can remember when there was literally nothing on the FM dial and static was constant on AM radio (I'm speaking of car radios, of course, which is where we heard most of our music in the 60's).

Here's a song that will drive it out of your head if anything can:

There, now you have a new song in your head. You're welcome.

I’m familiar with the song, but had never heard that version.
I’ve always loved this video:

Which, for some reason, made me think of Bittersweet Symphony. That song will likely knock FM outta my head, but do I want that as an earworm, instead? Hmmmm.

Its a small small world.

Have fun!

this one might work better, or worse (I had to go to music rehab to get rid of it), but it's also for a good cause (and funny):

The latest thing banging around my weary old head: "Greenback Dollar" by the Kingston Trio ["And I don't give a damn about a greenback-a dollar, spend it as fast as I can"]. That's alright, it'll be something else tomorrow.....

That song was the title track for the movie.

Fabulous soundtrack - I don't remember much of the movie since I haven seen it in decades, but I still look up songs from the sound track. It was THE soundtrack my husband and I listened to on our 'honeymoon' trip - driving from Tallahassee to San Francisco and back in early 1978.
