7. It seems counterproductive to me as well.

I can understand the rage. I feel it myself when I see footage of cops killing or abusing people. And I want to see justice done. But I think this just gives them ammunition in their political attacks against us.

Unfortunately we have radicals on the left, (just as there are RW radicals,Nazi's, Proud Boys, Boogalos, etc). Most of the time their activities are to disrupt and destroy and have no connection to the underlining reason for the protests. They incite. They want to destroy. And yes, legitimate protestors do get caught up in the furor causing damage and destruction. But there has to be an instigation, an incitement and I think that's were these far Right and Left groups play a role.

I wish it wouldn't happen as it diminishes and overtakes the objectives of the legitimate protestors.

I watched until the blogger signed off for the night. Looked mostly like organized/semi-organized groups doing the violence with a lot of random folks hanging around, if I'm seeing things correctly.

Something else I saw that gave me pause: A cop came screeching up to a group, lights blazing, and corralled six who were apparently attempting a break-in. He put them on the ground, then eventually released them. As they walked away one of them could clearly be seen packing what appeared to be a AK-47 type weapon. It was obvious enough that the blogger commented on it as well, also noting that at least four of the group were white. And the cop didn't confiscate it.

Someone set fire to a used car dealership and torched the inventory. The owner could be heard in a heated "discussion" (with someone I couldn't hear) saying "I won't get one single dollar for any of these cars! Insurance doesn't cover acts of domestic terrorism!" Good luck winning that guy over.
