CHiPs "Roller Disco" - The most Seventies scene in 1970s TV

MeTV runs a few episodes of CHiPs every afternoon, it seems. In fact, it's on in a few minutes.

A few days ago, they ran a two-parter, the first two episodes of the third season.

There was a tall blond kid who showed up at 1:04 and again at 1:27. He looked familiar, but I just couldn't place him. I looked up the episode at IMDB. The boy was Philip McKeon. He died in December.

On CHiPS!! It's like all of my TV watching as a kid rolled into one horrifically cheesy episode!

He doesn't play himself. He plays a character named Jimmy Tyler. He is first seen as a passenger in a Rolls Royce, which of course crashes. Oddly, it does not roll over. They must not have had the budget for that. Pontiacs and Chevy Kingswood wagons get to roll over a lot.

I noticed some of them were not wearing skates.

When I put on skates I was a danger to myself and others, but it didn't stop me.
