I'm no Adonis, but my forearms are ripped. I read on some website somewhere that if you want your arms to look ultra ripped, and you have a lot of hair, you should shave your arms because the hair tends to hide muscularity.

When I read it, I thought "That's a bunch of shit".

But I was so bored while watching Pence that I was itching my forearm and thinking hmmmm....

When I was a little girl my mother told me that if I never shave above my knees I will never need to, so I didn't and I've never had hair on my thighs. I've only ever shaved knee-down and under arms. Oh, and now that I'm older, I wax above my lip every once in a while. If you do shave your forearms it will grow back like a gorilla and you'll end up having to do it constantly--like every 15 minutes, LOL. I bid you good luck.

I'm Italian American (both mom and dad). Both sets of Grandparents came over on the boat.

I tended to my mom for several years before she died while she was in the nursing home. She used to get hair on her chin, so I would shave it for her once a month or so.

She was in her mid-nineties when she passed, and I could always get her to laugh because she would forget the jokes I told her. So I could tell her a joke one day, and then tell her the same joke a few weeks later and she would laugh as if is was the first time she heard it.

So whenever I was shaving her, I would ask her....Mom, do you know why a lot of Italian men grow beards?

No, why do they?...she would ask.

My reply...as a tribute to their mothers.

I probably told this story here before...

She called me up from the nursing home one night. She said "Do you want a roast beef sandwich? They served it for lunch today and I didn't want it.

No thanks mom, it's kinda late, and I'm not hungry.

Oh c'mon over here and eat it. It's a nice sandwich.

No thanks, really...

I DON'T WANT TO THROW OUT FOOD. COME OVER HERE AND EAT THIS SANDWICH.

So I drive over there and she hands me a sandwich that is wrapped up in an unused Depends.

I ate it.

I never had anything to shave above the knees and I'm a brunette. Now that I'm older I wish it was my face that was spared. I'm getting tired of waxing. I'm starting to ponder electrolysis, except it's so damn expensive and extravagant right now.

...the same era. One of her sisters did not follow that "never above the knees" dictum, and my mom used to say, "Aunt Mary shaves hers up to her tonsils."

Correction - one of my mother's sisters. I don't have any sisters.

There was this barber (I think he was in the country of Turkey) who befriended a homeless man who was in dire need of a haircut.

He gave the man a beautiful haircut and beard trim, and he took care of his ear hair by quickly touching a lit bic lighter to the hair. Very quickly...just enough to singe the hair off.

I have the same problem with my ears and nose...I use one of those battery powered micro trimmers.

As a lady, it's embarrassing having a few dark manly hairs on my forearm. I pour a little peroxide on a cotton ball and dab it on my forearm. It dries and I leave it on for about 20 minutes and then rinse it off. So far, I've never had a bad reaction from doing this.

Sally Hansen makes a creme that bleaches facial hair that you could use. Lemon juice or Sun In hair lightener would bleach your forearm hair too.

It's hell being a woman and having single strands of sasquatch hair at random places. I suppose I should be thankful that I don't have hairy palms.
