2. The guides on the live safari drive I watch HATE how hyenas are portrayed in The Lion King

There is a very long term study of hyenas being done by Michigan State University, in the Masai Mara. They are fascinating creatures - not nearly the snarling, salivating monsters shown on the original Lion King. I haven't seen the remake but I'm assuming that characterization is still there.

The Lion King is just a wonderful story - kind of a morality play. I'm not a big fan of animation but I really enjoyed the original. I'd love to see the remake because it looks to be visually amazing.

a compliment as wolves have a very strong family structure but instead they are maligned.

I hand't heard that about hyenas - would like to learn more about them.

4. Hyenas are like any other animal

Just trying to survive and propagate. Actually if you look underneath the story, it appears that The Lion King is a tyrant and the hyenas are oppressed.

And The Lion King is a rip off of Kimba the White Lion.
