I brought a cat back to the US from Japan, at the end of my 2 yr Air Force tour there. He’d been with me for about 18 months, and there was NO WAY I would/Could have left him there. I had him for 20 years.

What is worst is when an old person with a pampered best friend dies or has to move, and their family just throws the animal out. The faithful pet has no idea how to fend for itself or survive on its own, often living in panic.
