(23,248 posts)Although one artist has given him a good run for the money, and you wouldn't BELIEVE who it is--Melanie (Safka), the chick who did the roller-skate song and the nickel song in the early 70s. I heard her version on satellite radio one day in the car, and my jaw DROPPED! Unfortunately, I cannot find that version ANYWHERE online--and boy, I have SEARCHED high and low for it! I want to hear it again. and again. and again.......
