Agree. The Rambler is bad-ass. Same goes for any 442 made before 1974. Throd Jun 2012 #6

and be able to pass everything on the road...but a gas station. I had a 79 Caprice 2-dr sport with a re-bored 323 and big pumping Edelbrock 4brl carb, dualled exhaust straight out. Woof, that thing could run.

Was tending bar split-shift (11-2 & 5-1) and fell asleep behind the wheel one
night going home. Totalled the car, but only had a little tiny bump/scratch on
my forehead.
.
Early-to-late 80's, I was driving a Rabbit Diesel, but my GF (the one that got
away) was driving a '67 Camaro R/S (fully restored cherry -- British racing
green w/black stripes). Sometimes, she'd pick me up and ask me if I wanted
to drive it.

"OK... ... ... ... if I must." VROOM-ZOOM!!!

I've always liked handling over power, though (my favorite car was a little
Honda CVCC with a 1200cc engine and 10-inch tires -- it handled tight as a
go-kart).

But all those horses underneath me?

My, it was YAR!!!

And the Olds 442. Too many Chevys, which is usual of most car shows, but even vanilla tastes good.
