so now I have a new ride

My wife recently purchased a 2012 Ford Focus to replace her 2006 Escape. While standing around waiting for her during her test drive I spotted this on the lot.

It was love at first sight and today this was me.

that is the look of a man who is in love with his car. I had that look once and will have it again.

Congrats on the sweet ride.

When I unlock the doors with my keyless entry it projects an image of the pony onto the ground.

Enjoy it. I'd love to get a red one for my wife but just can't afford it right now.

The salesman marveled at how new it looked. I take good care of my cars and don't beat them. Too many time I see people who buy cars like this who either trash them or make them into trailer queens. Cars like this are meant to be driven and enjoyed.

the first time I ever saw a Ford Mustang. It was 1964. I was 10 walking to school (we were dirt poor). I remember standing there, mouth open, watching as it drove past. Love at first site. They have always had a special place in my heart.

but I don't understand why people buy black cars

They absorb a ridiculous amount of heat and distracted drivers don't see them very well at night

Best of luck and Happy Trails

I'd be stuck driving the damned Focus around because my wife would "borrow" the Mustang.

And you know what? If they sold the exact same car new, I would buy it. I have awful taste lol. Nice car, btw. Have fun man...life is too short for regrets.

I was just coming off the highway when it was hit with a rock. I turned to my wife and said " shit I'm not in town 30 secs and I'm already dealing with crime". The rock scratched the paint a bit but didn't dent the metal. Nothing like some anonymous violence to put me in a good frame of mind when just starting a vacation. Now I have to call a body guy to see if they can fix it.
