I'd always heard that the center of a continent has extremes of heat and cold, now I know the extent
of those extremes.
I used to think SC summers were the worst anywhere. Silly me!
Last December western KS and CO had a blizzard. This week and next, KS and OK are in the 100+ temps....
But maybe it's a dry heat, which, while still hot, is not QUITE as bad as a humid heat.
PS--Oh, and DUer's who live in these areas, I sympathize.
