In the Before Times, bought the frames in one of their actual stores. Had my local optician shop make the lenses (live in rural area, so frame selection very limited).
Have worn glasses for 62 years, and the Warby Parker frames are one of the best I've ever had, both quality and appearance.

Have been happy with them and prices are good for "designer" frames.

you have to take a picture of your eyes, holding a strip from a credit card or some sort of striped card under your nose

They’re good glasses, and attractive. In the past they’ve had a policy where they’ll send you 5 pairs of frames so you can see how they really look on you, I believe with prepaid return postage.

7. As an Optician, I would advise against that.

Especially if you are prescribed bifocals. You have no way of measuring your seg height for bifocals and your PD (Pupilary Distance) should not be guessed at. Both of these numbers factor in on the accuracy of your prescription in your lenses.

The ~$110 pairs of glasses with progressive lens that I have purchased through Zenni Optical were better then the pair that I paid $450 (on sale) from the optometrist

13. I've always gone to an optician for my glasses and always had problems with those things

First off, I have a very low bridge on my nose and the opticians always want to put the pads on the frames at the lowest point. That means my eyelashes constantly hit the lenses. So I tend to prefer wearing my glasses lower on my nose which shifts the point at which the bifocals change. With my computer glasses (near and medium distance) I like to look over the top at the TV since my distance vision is good.

Last time I replaced my computer glasses the place had no half frames that I could use, then optician set the transition point (the seg?) too low so I have to shift my glasses back and forth see the TV, look at the monitor, and read the papers on my desk. I should have taken them back but it took me a while to figure out what the problem was.

The most recent pair of glasses are transition lenses. While they work fine for driving I simply cannot read small print with them at all. Next time I will make sure the glasses are correct within the exchange period so I can have one pair that will work for everything.

But by the time I added in the lens options that I wanted/needed, Costco ended up being less.

They have tons of frames to choose from though.
