for two days in a row, and that's just since yesterday?

That was an easy fix, but here's the mysterious part:

Some of them have messaged me and asked if I'm the guy in that film.

What film? What the fuck are they talking about?

I can't message them back, because then (according to FB), they'd get my number and be able call me.

I know, it sounds like some kind of elaborate hoax or con, but it gets even stranger:

Throughout all of this, one mutual friend, of four FB friends (all four were recent FR), happened to be a Dave Ayotte Jr. from Woonsocket, RI, and that's also my name (minus the Jr. part) and I'm also from RI.

Jr is also a big-time trump fan, so I sent him a FR, and he accepted.

Trust me, I don't pick my friends because of their politics.

Anyway, if anyone has gotten this far, I'm not leaving Facebook, because I'm not into that zero-tolerance bullshit either.

4. That does seem extremely weird!

I get a lot of friend requests from people trying their hardest to look like American citizens - many of them trying to pull off appearing to be in the military. It's pretty easy to spot the flaws. I always click on the profile, just to see if they are even real people with friends and photos. 99% of the time, the only photos are of themselves. So I report them.

friend requests from people I don't know at all - all men. It's been going on for about a month now. Normally I get zero friend requests, maybe once a year from somebody I know. Now I get a couple a week from strangers. And they live all over the place, none are local.
