1. He's always impressed me as an arrogant, self centered pompous ass

I was an avid fan if Food Network for years. I remember the competition when he won a spot on the network. That's about the time Food Network changed and I stopped watching. To each their own, someone likes him, or he wouldn't still be there. As for me, he ruined the network for me.

Me.

7. Here's Why Guy Fieri Is 1 of the Most Hated Celebrity Chefs of All Time

2. Fieri has been accused of being homophobic and anti-Semitic

“This type of thing should never fly, but for some reason, it seems as though a handful of celebrity chefs have garnered reputations for being less than accepting of others (Paula Deen, we’re looking at you). And according to Complex, Guy Fieri is one of them.

Fieri sent offensive, threatening emails to other staff members, including former Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives’ producer David Page. One such example of the chef’s appalling dialect? “You can’t send me to talk to gay people without warning! Those people weird me out!” It’s quite possible all that frosting of his tips may have
gotten to his brain — and better judgement.”

I'm not sure I get his hang-up with eggs though?

Eggs are the food of the gods. So this I cannot abide.

5. I've enjoyed his show the few times I've seen it.

Always makes me a little nervous, though, wondering how long before he has a massive heart attack. Pretty sure it was his show where I saw a diner making deep fried bacon wrapped cheese hot dogs. Yoiks.

Years ago when I first saw and heard of him, his public persona got on my last nerve.

But again, I'm not his audience.

He might be a wonderful guy.

make their food from scratch (unlike Fieri's own restaurants). People who really care about food. He does a lot of good.

The problem is that Food Network needs its stars to create exaggerated cartoon personalities to sell themselves as a brand. It's a shame Fieri can't just be himself without the obnoxious loud "flavor town" stuff and ridiculous hair and outfits. I think that's why he annoys people.
