The 75 lb dog has been trying to crawl under my nightstand and I've been hearing branches falling and hitting our roof. I have our flashlight at the ready. So far our power has just been off and on, but in the storms that came through last week, our friends (5 miles away) were without power for 24 hrs.

Keep it handy as it's great for looking up all kinds of weather, including fire warnings and air-quality.

And now that those of us on the coasts no longer have Stormpulse to use (they went "pro" with high-priced subscriptions) Weather Underground fills in the gap nicely for hurricane tracking and prediction

This storm is heading your way. Looks like things should be quieting down here soon. I hope so since I want to go to sleep.

Roommate says the cable went out. For him, that must have been devastating...he's a wanker. Doesn't read, has no friends, never leaves the apartment, has no life. When the French-language news is your bestie and constant companion, you're lame.
