Some observations of ..The Amazing Thing called.."The Internet"..

....I was just reading a story about one of the leaders of the protest in Washington 2 days ago...Someone named ....Ali Alexander... I looked him up using the internet and found out his age and where he was
from ....Alamogordo New Mexico..... (a town in a state in the U.S.A...near the border between U.S.A. & Mexico)...................................................................................................................
....So, I wanted to know where that place is..so I copied and pasted that name...(yes, I can't spell) so
the internet spelled it correctly and then a map of southern New Mexico popped up. I was able to make
the map larger to get a better picture of the area and then..I copied and pasted the name of the town again,
and got some information about the town...
...It is a town of about 30,000 people near a National Forest that I have never heard of. The map showed
a description of the towns streets, and it also showed me where the town was located in relation to the
rest of New Mexico...That was enough for me.....But...........But.........
...But, I could have gotten more information about that town, if I had used Google search some more...
( I didn't want to)......I could have gotten history, important stores in the town,, Street Names...elevation...
etc, etc, etc, etc...... I could find that information about any town or city in the U.S.A. just by using the
internet and sitting at the computer for some time.......................
___________________SO WHAT WAS IT LIKE BEFORE THE COMPUTER????___________________

Before the computer...I would go to the .................LIBRARY................and walk around looking for
information..here and there and over there in the corner. Maps, magazines, encyclopedias, books etc.
Yes, I could find the information about anything at the ....LIBRARY...., BUT NOW I DON'T HAVE TO GO TO
THE LIBRARY....EVER........THERE IS A LIBRARY IN MY COMPUTER...IF I KNOW HOW TO USE IT....

HERE IS THE KICKER......................................................................................................
.....I never have to get off my ass to find anything about anything. I can sit at the computer and it
takes me to all major sources of information almost immediately. Now, some of those sources
require a membership to get information, most do not......................I am totally amazed what information
I can get on the computer for totally ....FREE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!......
.
...................I can look at historical pictures, some full length movies, something called YOUTUBE...magazines,
books, advertisements of every kind, sports information, short documentaries, dirty pictures, maps, etc...etc...
...etc...etc...I can listen to radio stations, watch TV news, find out the weather all over the U.S.A day or
night, politics, history, information on traveling and places to travel and so on...and on....and on.....& on.

Think about this post and what we can do on the computer....OH....I ...FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT
OF ALL..., I CAN GET INFORMATION ABOUT AND TALK TO PEOPLE...............on.............................
...................................DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND.!!!!!!!!..................................................

that is a place that didn't exist before the internet and access to the internet...Now, if I cannot afford the
internet at my home......Guess what I can do??? Do you know?.....Well, if you don't know...
Well then...........................I CAN GO TO THE LIBRARY AND IT HAS THE INTERNET AND COMPUTERS
......LIBRARIES usually allow computer use for ...free....and a limited time if it is busy.......
..........If not busy.....I guess you get more time....for free.....I can sit on my ass at the library, just
like I do at home..OH MY.......time to take a break from this.......If you got this far...Thanks for reading this..
, I guess I will get off my ass and get some lunch.......My lunch is ..NOT AT THE LIBRARY!!!!
