I just froze my shoes bigger!

Always time to learn new tricks. Open your shoe wide. Put a plastic bag into the shoe. Fill the bag with water. I squeezed a cup into the open part of the shoe, but the bag could also fill it all. Tie a knot on the plastic bag, and tighten the shoelaces. Put the shoe outside and let it freeze if possible (or inside, in the fridge). Wait for it to freeze, and then melt it and take the ice out. Frozen water gets 10 percent bigger in volume, so now the shoes are permanently bigger and my feet got all the room they need. Bliss!

The shoemaker could do it much better and more precise for a little money, but his shop was Covid-closed...

Basically two half wood moons and a screw adjuste. I have an in between hat size so sometimes med is to small but large is to big. Wet the hat band, put the hat stretcher in and open it up to "just right" and let it sit over nite.... works for me!!
