Good News, no strike that, GREAT NEWS

Last edited Tue Jul 3, 2012, 09:10 PM - Edit history (1)

I just returned from my kidney doctor's office and he says there is NO SIGN OF DISEASE IN MY KIDNEYS ANYMORE!!!!

I will still have to do bloodwork and there is always the chance that it may come back sometime later, but as for right now I dont have to suck up to any of you miserable assholes for your lousy kidneys.

Thanks for the good vibes and well wishes.

I get to keep my lousy kidneys to myself, LOL. But who knows? Down the road I may need to borrow one of yours.

This must be a HUGH relief to you, NightWatcher. I've done my share of time in the hospital, and I am still scared of having to go back!

Apparently you now have what is called a 'clean bill.' More power to you!

And yeah, it's time for you to par-tay.

I've still got lupus and a neuromuscular mixed connective tissue disease, but I was just very wary (down right scared) of kidney or liver problems (dialysis, transplant, ....)

So I'm feeling pretty good, taking my meds, hoping I keep feeling well for the foreseeable future.

The other issues will still be there, and I wish you the best in dealing with them.

Hell, I'll probably end up back in the hospital before you will. I've been avoiding going back to the VA for some time. And the fuckers in my regional office told me I'm not eligible because I "never filed a claim." Somehow, those idiots can't find my records--even though the local VA Hospital has them and the Vet Center manages to pull them up instantly with a single online query. My claim was filed and approved more than 40 years ago, for an Army combat disability. Our VA health care is great--it's just some of the admin BS that sucks.

But I really have no complaints compared to what you're dealing with. The main thing is that you're now free of those fears about what serious kidney/liver problems would entail. That's not exactly out of the woods, when you have other health issues to deal with. But still, NightWatcher, that's pretty damn good.

Hearing your good news makes me feel like celebrating tonight. Thanks for sharing.
