Just trying out the speech to text app on my phone.

I can't really see what it is printing so I hope you guys will let me know if this is coming out clear or not.

It's really different saying what you want to say on a chat room instead of typing it out. And weirder still not being able to see to make sure that it is printed the way you want it to be.

Some of them are really long lines some of them are really short and I'm not really sure what it's supposed to be. I can't see it.

I'm trying to get this all figured out. Now if I can find an app that will read me all the text I'll be set.

Gosh, where to start.

Having to switch back to keyboard mode, when it makes a mistake to fix (yes I get I can just keep going on talking, and later fix things, so time consuming)

Sometimes when have switched into keyboard mode, they don't show the microphone icon so one can switch back to speaking again, I found out best way is hit the " < " on the left side of the spelling/word suggestions line. Then the microphone icon appears and I tap that. So silly.

In speech mode, if you pause too long, it quietly shifts out of speech mode and shows "Tap to talk", but if I didn't notice that (which is often), I could be talking a long time to no avail.

Punctuation! It doesn't understand period, I found out one can say "full stop". Well darn, what about the many other punctuation symbols I want, do I have to switch to keyboard mode? (Later: Samsung voice input does have a mini-keyboard with period, comma, space, and backspace, very helpful, but that's it).

Why can't they leave the keyboard up while I'm talking? Then I have the best of both worlds?

Often I want to use an acronym and so I spell it out, and it never gets it right. LEAVE THE FRIGGING KEYBOARD UP! AND WHEN I DO ENTER KEYBOARD MODE AND MAKE THE CORRECTION, DON'T MAKE IT HARDER THAN HELL TO GET BACK TO SPEAKING BY HIDING THE MICROPHONE ICON.

Edited: Speaker icon -- > Microphone icon
