(205,833 posts)I knew that I joined in 2003, but only knew it was early in the year and on DU.1 since I remember the whole lead up to the Iraq War and the day that we migrated to DU.2 (July 6, 2003). So I appreciate knowing the date!
I'd never been on any sort of message board before and panicked when I got a reply on my very first post, but it was from newyawker99, DU's one-person welcoming committee, welcoming me to DU. So she became my first DU friend and I kept coming back for both the education I've received here and the camaraderie. DU became my online home.
Thank you so much for all you do, not only for the most educational and friendly site on the internets, but for all the user friendly improvements that you, Skinner and Elad have made over the years. Congratulations on 20 years and here's to the next 20!

I could not hit the ball over the darn net, and that was even after practicing at home.
I just hate sports, in general.
