I'm interested in getting satellite radio for my home, any advice

1. if you go with Sirius XM, hold fast till they give it to you for $5/month.

2. Yup - and when renewal time comes, tell 'em you're cancelling...

because it's too expensive, and you get it for peanuts. Siriusly, they'll do just about anything to keep a subscriber.

3. One of the best features is the ability to alert on favorite artists.

This lets you know when a song by any of your selected artists is playing on any station.

Some of the radios don't offer this function, so I would suggest getting one that does.

4. This app works very well, and is free

It also allows the user to add stations as wanted, the stations do not have to be classical. My favorites were WETA, All Classical Portland, Classical Minnesota Public Radio, and Symphony 92.4 (Singapore - with a 12 hour time difference their morning show is after dinner music)

5. I loved Sirius when I had it with my DISH package. I like to set my off timer at bed time and

have music to listen to real low as I fall asleep. I tried their channel "The Vault". Classic rock deep cuts. The only problem was, I'd hear some song I vaguely remembered, or realize I should know who this was, then have to get out of bed to find out! I had to stay away from that one when trying to go to sleep.

6. I have a subscription to Sirius, which I listen to in the car, plus

their streaming service, which I can listen to via the computer and a Bluetooth speaker, or run through my Alexa device, or on my phone when I'm out walking. Sirius also carries CNN's and MSNBC's audio broadcasts.

also receive Sirius at home on Alexa at no additional charge.
