Probably separation anxiety. He chewed on furniture legs etc. We had a raised hearth with slate floor that was his spot. He had a big blanket, bed sized, that he would bring over to the slate floor then fluff it up and wrap himself in it. We would come home and find missing items, like the tv remote. After a search we find them all chewed up under his blanket. Even when things were seemingly out of reach he would some how get to them. We were pretty relaxed about it and more worried about him eating something bad. Though he was a very pricey pedigree puppy and I would look at him and tell him it was a good thing he was cute because he had already chewed up more the his monetary worth. He grew out and made it to 14 (cancer). I have always wondered if it was from something that he ingested.

Right is optimistically hopeful of some reward.
Left eye is questioning the choice and somewhat fearful of the results.
