10. You can tell at an instant if a cat is pregnant or just fat

Unlike most animals, cats have two uteruses, and they’re right under the skin.

If the cat has a long lump on both sides of it, she’s pregnant.

If the cat just looks overall fat, she’s just fat.

The double uterus thing is especially fun because the cat may not deliver both sides at the same time...which happens if the pregnancy is from two different toms. So...if you go to work one morning with your mother cat nursing two kittens and come home to her nursing four and two of them look different, no one broke in and left more kittens for you to find.
