What is it with leopards and sugarcane fields? This is like the third time they've found baby leopards in a field. They're so cute!

(26,263 posts)I watch the SafariLive daily live-streamed safari drives. One of the leopards we've been following since she was about that size, now has a cub of her own.
This new cub is the 4th generation of this leopard family that I've followed. They are so amazing to watch.

(6,556 posts)This is what I found when I googled your question. It makes good sense.
"As every part of the forest is heavily grazed, the leopardesses do not find safe hide and move in deeper part of sugar cane field for safety of their cubs. Infact, sugar cane fields contribute significantly for reproduction of the leopards."
