Here's a report on my latest encounter with a dog. Actually the encounter began with me
meeting the dog's hooman. The hooman approached me in the parking lot of my neighborhood grocery store as I was loading my groceries in my car. He stood at a good distance and asked me if I had any spare change.
Since I have some experience with these encounters I asked him what he really
needed and he said "Whatever you can spare". (It's a good idea to get an idea of who
you're dealing with since there's so many weirdos around.) And since my instincts are
good I offered this person a 5 dollar bill which he thanked me for and then said that his
dog thanked me too.
I had observed that this person was carrying one of the reusable cloth bags with
handles that are so common these days. Since he and I were already in close proximity
he opened the bag to reveal a cute little dog. I couldn't tell if it was just a pup or mature.
The dog didn't make a sound but looked at me with its doggie eyes.
I wished the dog and its hooman well and found that my opinion of the hooman race
had just increased.
