Attention, Costco shoppers: Those free samples are about to make a complete comeback.

The retailer revealed during its third quarter earnings call it will bring back full sampling as well as its food court and seating, in another sign of the U.S. slowly shifting toward normal amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Richard Galanti, chief financial officer and executive vice president at Costco, said the retailer will introduce full sampling in phases.

I have a friend who travels around for his work and he is the king of free samples for lunch at Costco, BJs, Trader Joe’s and Whole Food.

But I find it to be really useful. When they sell stuff in five gallon buckets, it is helpful to know whether you like it or not.

Happy it is coming back.

Although I will miss the lack of traffic jams at all the food stands. It really jams the place up sometimes.
