I don't expect him to get to 15 as large breed dogs generally don't. He is 5. We are so blessed to have long-term dogs in our lives!

And you never do know about dogs. I grew up with a cocker spaniel, since my Dad did, and I loved that pup more than anything. Since then, I have had 3 other cockers in my life, all seniors who I adopted from rescue. The eldest was my beloved Barney, such a sweet dog who they said was 10 or 11 when I adopted him - and I had him for 8 wonderful years! I hope that you have your lovely DJ for at least as long...
