How does everybody like The Chase which has been reimagined and the Beast is a commentator?

Beastie has lost weight and is being nice (some of his meanness was forced anyway).

Brook is not the woman leading the contestant through a set of questions before they get to the Beast who is not called the Beast

I prefer the British version with Bradley Walsh. ITV doesn't have the money to spend on lots glitz and large cash payouts. They talk more with the contestants and it's a bit more fun and Bradley is kind of hokey and more personable. The Beast is one of my favorites but all of the British Chasers are good. I catch old reruns of the British version on YouTube. I don't see the point of the commentators.
