And it's ONLY 99 degrees. We've got 3 more degrees to go, and that's only if the forecast is right.
I couldn't figure out why my house was so hot, and discovered that I had inadvertently turned off the wrong faucet outside when cleaning paintbrushes earlier. Hopefully I didn't burn up the pump on my swamp cooler.
I feel so bad for anyone who has to work outside in this heat. Roofers are all over my neighborhood, thanks to a hail storm a few weeks ago. I just don't know how they do it. They certainly don't get paid enough!

(8,445 posts)Yeah, I don't know how they do it! Do they still work during the daytime when it's that hot? I recall that in Vegas they do overnight work, which makes a lot more sense for road workers.

(55,014 posts)poor kid started this job in August 2 years ago, sick, the day after getting back from a family trip with girlfriend and her two kids. my son is ranch raised so has a somewhat unhealthy work ethic. LOL

(8,445 posts)I was outside earlier, and I noticed it was really hot, but there wasn't anyone to talk to.
Well, I guess I could have told the cat, but she doesn't ever seem to want to talk about the weather.
