So California lifted its mask mandate yesterday. I was kind of looking forward to finally going

maskless..When I went shopping at Trader Joe’s and Target, every single person I saw was wearing a mask. So I put mine on. Nothing like a little social pressure. I ran out to Home Depot this morning. I saw a few maskless “construction guys”, but most were wearing masks. I think people are going to be reluctant to give up their masks for some time to come. I wonder wat others are seeing?

I think it might depend on the store. I haven't been in my Ralphs, but my understanding is that I can go maskless if I want to.

My local meat market is allowing people to come in without masks. So I did. It felt good!

Today I have an order to pick up at a local bakery; I'll see what they're doing.

I always plan to carry the mask with me, just in case.

Mission and 13th. It is the last of the old Goodmans Lumber stores.

I used to do business at Tuggies hardware in Noe Valley. It was a loss to the community when he retired and went out of business. My son went to school right there at Saint Philips.

not just the ability to go maskless

I am staying masked - I see the usual maskholes who don't care or care only about themselves.

Said I wasn’t sick of masks. I will probably continue on. Wat I am deliriously happpy about is eating in restaurants. Something I’ve done 4 times in the past 18 months.

I did Trader Joe's and Costco runs and I was one of a few people unmasked. Sonoma County has had more cases in the last week, that may be making people more cautious. As everywhere, almost all new cases are unvaccinated people.
It was wonderful to not wear the damn mask

After hearing about ant-maskers and people going batshit for being asked to wear them. People have even gotten killed for enforcing mask mandates. I would guess the mask situation in parts of SoCal and the Central Valley might be completely different, but the Bay Area is good with it.
