(9,070 posts)The part in the video where this little girl gets into the bed for the first time is exactly what my cat looked like and how she acted. Brought back memories of her.
It took me 5 years to get my rescue to that point and still she would randomly attack my face. Not fun but it was that feral side of her. She couldn't help it.
But each breakthrough drew us closer together and she became a snuggly, nutty and funny cat.
Her whole mission in life, reason for living, seemed to be to bite my hand but she never once got it. I learned to read her with the exception of the face attacks. They would come out of nowhere. I survived.
When she passed it was that much harder on me emotionally because of all of the hard work and all of the moments of breakthrough that we shared. She loved me dearly as I did her.
I called her Sweet Pea Butter Bean: the devil incarnate.

(989 posts)Kittens are even cuter than usual when they're angy.
And it's remarkable how well she took to the bath, considering she did not fully trust her foster mom at the time.
