I'm having a particularly bad day. Ok, a REALLY bad day, but look who showed up to cheer me up

Scooter and Mittens!! Oh, and Mama Skittish, too. Spooky Jr came by, later. Again, I wish I could get a clearer photo but they still race off if I go outside and they see me so I'm taking the photos, with my phone, through the living room window.

The damage is to my mom's house that is in the family trust. My niece and her husband are living there, right now, and we're upgrading things so we can sell it.

The storm was pretty rough in their part of the county. Today they noticed water dripping through the living room ceiling. I'm heading there, tomorrow, insurance policy in hand (I'm the 'trustee'). Hopefully it is a limited issue.

And it's so unnecessary. Unfortunately, when my mom bought the house she refused an inspection and we are now finding all sorts of issues that would probably have stopped her purchasing the place. Mom wasn't someone who listened to anybody about anything. We begged her to get an inspection but she 'knew better'.

Doesn't sound like fun, especially as trustee. 😞

But for today, no storms & kitties to cheer you up!

But how cool that the kitties were able to help that change. I'm sure that eventually they'll lose their skittishness and allow you to approach them for better photos.

I really want to catch, 'fix' and foster them until I can find at least 2 of them good homes. Also want to catch and spay Skittish. No doubt she will always be an outdoor feral but I want to shut down the kitten factory.

Maybe you need a motion sensor camera aimed at where they usually hang out.

Skittish and the kittens enter the yard from a direction that's not covered. I do have a habit of checking the feeding station, throughout the day. Now I've got a pretty good grasp on their routine.

We have baby squirrels. They are a delight.
We also have one who is missing a paw . He is always makes me feel better when he comes to visit, he made it through the winter and is so much stronger this year. Nothing stops him.
