A law firm refrigerator magnet???

Just received a new Yellow Pages directory.
Glued to the cover was a 3" X 3" 'refrigerator magnet' advertising a law firm.
It's a 2 guy partnership.
They run a lot of TV commercials.
Very dramatic.
This one partner looks directly into the camera and intones "I WILL PERSONALLY RETURN YOUR CALL."
Well, I'd hope so.
His photo, very stern looking and holding a phone to his ear, is on the magnet.

Anyway...I started wondering what kind of people would need or want the contact information for a personal injury law firm stuck on the fridge?
Scam artists?

Sort of a collection I quess.

All kinds.

I trade with other people.

Magnets are a good way to get your name and number out there, it can't get lost like a paper card.

unless maybe I used my handheld supercomputer with gps, 1545 songs, 7 movies, 700 photos, 125 apps....

Does anyone really use the yellow pages or do they look it up online if they dont have a smartphone? I couldnt tell you the last time I used the hard copy yellow pages. Ours went straight from the driveway to the recycling container which was 5 feet away, What a waste.

Maybe the YP folks could save time by just sending the books straight to a recycle facility.

Until my ex-bf wanted to see if he could tear it in half (not a big town, it wasn't 'that' thick). I hadn't used a phone book in probably five years, so I said okay.

Two days later, the internet goes down. There's no food in the house and we want to order a pizza. Neither of us had a phone number and my car wasn't running well enough to drive in the snow. "Where's the phonebook?"...."Ummmmm..."

and stick it over it, cut the words out separately and you have your own cutom word magnets for making poems, phrases, etc

I love collecting those magnets for reuse
