(1,160 posts)I was told over and over again that the cat would never want to be held/cuddled.
Two years later - it's true, and I love her anyway. She'll headbutt and meow at me. She loves toys, petting, and treats, but she hates two hands on her.
Cats are not for cuddling any more than people are for ..... whatever you think they are for.

(21,770 posts)A cat's fur is essential to its health.
We have taken a sturdy animal and bred it to be delicate.
Looks like a callous person's vanity project.
I hope this cat has a good, loving home. He will need special care.

(115,761 posts)because they can't keep themselves warm. I think animals shouldn't be bred in ways that could be harmful to them (like not having fur) but I've been told that these are very friendly and sweet-natured (maybe because they want to sit on people to keep warm). I got to pet one once at a cat show, she felt like warm suede.

(115,761 posts)The reason they feel like suede is that they actually do have some very short, fine fur.
