Solar power absorbs energy that might otherwise be reflected back into space and turns it into heat. Towlie Jul 2021 #6

It is a very slow process, but it's worth it. My system has been up and running for 7 years now and I still remember the day we threw the switch.

But don't despair, there's no way to generate energy without contributing to global warming in some way. Maybe you could make up for it by painting your roof white.

While our household is a net energy producer we don’t get much back from Edison. Conversely since our installation we have not payed a dime for power, and our break even is only a couple few years away.

8 kw. the building is 25' x 50'.

i'll probably add elec hot water, and see what's left.
heat is a brand new gas, so that stays.
i'm happy w a bill of zero.

i own a matching 2 flat that is next. just converted to a heat pump.
being able to offer heat and air included w/o a bill to pay is a good investment.

it took almost 2 hours to procure a ladder, leaving 3 hotties to hang and chat and watch the butterflies.
i'm not usually crude like that, but, i mean, lordy. 5 of them. 5.

the onsite super has a lovely beard, a lovely smile that he wore all day and some amazing ink.
when i complimented his sleeve, he assured me he had a lot more ink.

so, yeah. been a long damn time since i wore a smile all day, and i aint sorry.
