Car alarms that are ignored.
A mosquito buzzing by your ear.
Crying babies anywhere.
The Kars for Kids tv ad.

4. Loud engines on quiet mornings.

Sometimes, when the neighborhood’s libertarian “It’s a free country!” assholes are revving their loud pickup truck or motorcycle engines, I’ll wish I lived somewhere like Germany that has “quiet laws” that restrict noise on evenings and weekends.

Smack them with a fine for their cloddish thoughtlessness…
