As you can see by the relative improvement in the quality of the photos, I am able to take photos OUTSIDE instead of from behind the screened in porch door or windows.
I realized, today, that Mittens reminds me of an old nursery rhyme because she has just 3 white paws - so she's the little kitten who has lost a mitten.

(21,905 posts)The three little kittens, they lost their mittens,
And they began to cry,
"Oh, mother dear, we sadly fear,
That we have lost our mittens."
"What! Lost your mittens, you naughty kittens!
Then you shall have no pie."
"Meow, meow, meow."
"Then you shall have no pie."
The three little kittens, they found their mittens,
And they began to cry,
"Oh, mother dear, see here, see here,
For we have found our mittens."
"Put on your mittens, you silly kittens,
And you shall have some pie."
"Purr, purr, purr,
Oh, let us have some pie."

(1,544 posts)I realize that, with cats, plans don't last past the first purr, however -- what's the plan for the kittens and mother?
Trap, spay, release?
Trap, spay, "tame," adopt?
Continue feeding and let them remain as is?
Just wondering what their future holds.
We had cats for years, however, with both of us pushing 80 and my wife suffering allergies, including cat hair and dander, it's just the two of us.

(26,291 posts)I'd LOVE to 'adopt' Mittens as a permanent resident, either inside or out. I think Skittish and Spooky Sr are likely to feral to ever be domesticated, but as long as they are around, I'll keep feeding them.
