Suffice it to say that my worry about their pooping has been laid to rest. I SWEAR, one of them waited for me to take the litter box out for cleaning to leave another 'deposit'. But MOST is inside the box so the learning curve continues to improve.
Squeaky is less vocal, this morning, but they are all very active. He got a whole lot of attention, yesterday so if all that squeaking is due to anxiety, he must feel better, today. I let them out, 2 at a time, to get some morning exercise, this morning, and chasing them down has added to my 'WHEW' factor.
I've got a couple of photos my niece took, yesterday, and will share them after I get everyone fed. Hopefully I'll have plenty more, in the near future.
Now Sophie Stinky Toes is telling me she's moments away from collapsing from hunger and it's almost light enough to check for the arrival of the outdoor dining crowd. So begins another of my 'new' days.

Even Sophie Stinky Toes has started headbutting and sitting next to me, again, so I guess I am SOMEWHAT forgiven for bringing these intruders into the house.
Now, a moment to myself, before I get the kittens their breakfast. I'm trying to keep them on a semi-strict feeding schedule.

(43,190 posts)I would look at them in the pet store every week. For months. Then I was going to get gerbils. Then I went to the bank and the teller was trying to sell her cat. I got the sense the responsibility was a bit too much for her. So I still have no pets. Excluding, of course, my Honda.

(26,269 posts)I'd rather sift a litter box than walk around with plastic bags of poop. I know you CAN walk cats but Sophie isn't amenable so the only exercise I get, with her, is play and, well, cleaning the litter box.
Both can give you a surplus of affection.
