Grandpa on the right seems like he would be the most against this wedding, but he's the one most willing to participate in at least what he thinks is supposed to happen.

I remember coming out to my grandfather (this was way back in 1976).

I told him, "Grandpa, I've met someone special...someone very important to me. Someone I want to spend my life with. Now, I need to tell you something, and I hope you can keep an open mind and not be too upset but, well...he's not Catholic."

I was very close to my grandma. The first question she asked about new boyfriends was what religion they were. To protect her, I never admitted that I had no idea.
