The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThe kittens are settling in to their new play/bedroom.
I ended up removing the seat cover so they can't jump up and get a foot hold. Also 'protected' the line from the toilet and removed the 'transport' box. And I introduced them to their new, MUCH bigger litter box. Hope they took the hint. Since it's a tile floor, I figured putting down a blanket would be a good idea. Especially under the cat 'tree' to cushion any falls. I'm a nervous, first time kitten mom.
The door is open but the doorway is blocked with the lid from a BIG storage tub. That will work for now. but not for much longer. At night I will close the door.
They seem to be pretty chuffed with their new domain. I'll give them a while to explore and play, and then bring them back out because I already miss the chaos.
I have to get over my paranoia of losing track of one, somewhere in the house (this is a big house) or having a sudden problem develop with Sophie. So far, so good on that front but we ARE dealing with cats.

(26,268 posts)That's never happened, before. Of course, Madoc being peaceful is a fleeting thing but for the few minutes he was cuddling, it was a lovely experience.
I'm beginning to realize they've adopted me.

Fortunately I have people I can call on for help - both in person and here, on DU.
It's kind of like when I moved to this house with all of the flower and veg gardens. I had never gardened, but decided to take advantage and give it a whirl.
Trial and error, using common sense, researching and asking for help and advice. Kind of how I've made it this far in life, actually.
