They had called us because we had missed out on getting a Great Pyrenees the month before.

He was so very scared. He had come from an abusive situation. I sat with him in his kennel for an hour, getting him closer with treats, before I could touch him.

Five years later, and he's such a big old lovebug! That's him on the right in my avatar.

So many dogs clamoring for just a little attention, some kind words. Its heartbreaking. I see those ads for the ASPCA, and I still tear up every time.
