recently that many people are not familiar with it, so I thought that I would share. DU exemplifies it perfectly.

A friend taught me this in 1980. You are the only person to mention this, in my experience, since then.

(37,748 posts)Not only do we keep in touch, we still get hang out on a regular basis. And the saying you shared with us is one I often feel, if not having actually ever said it as such. Marriages and births, divorces and bankruptcies... we've held the other's hands when asked for (and sometimes when not asked for).
