Especially since no cat is included. I have enough, thank you very much!
Although I suspect it would terrify Sophie Stinky Toes.

(14,643 posts)The grown cats werent interested at all. Ours was really noisy, too.
We got fish that look just like it but dont move on their own. They get dragged all over the house.

I have probably 50 to 60 cat toys, some in a basket upstairs and some in a basket downstairs.
Guess what they play with most? Bread twisties and rolled up balls of tin foil.
Cats?

(972 posts)when you squeezed the bulb attached to it. The cats could not figure it out but they were fascinated and jumped every time I squeezed it. I think they ultimately punctured it.
The fishy thing could go either way. Never saw that before.

Lucas thoroughly attacked the gold fish (I got a gold one and a gray one), would beat the heck out of it. Eventually he got tired of it and now ignores both of them.
Maya wouldn't have anything to do with them and left the room if I started one going to try to entice her.
Sabra was afraid of them and would run away but after watching Lucas play with his, she'd occasionally swat at one to start it going.
The worst problem was that Lucas would leave one or both in the pathway through the kitchen. One night I kicked one as I walked through in the dark. It flopped over and started the other one. They kept each other activated for about five minutes. In the middle of the night.
I think we had more fun with them than the cats did and they would be great practical joke things.

I've got one cat, Sabra, that loves humps in rugs. We have a runner down in one place and I swear she and the other cats deliberately push the ends inward to make a nice big hump for Sabra to play with. She'll attack it, cuddle up to it or hide toys behind the hump.
Their favorite toys - the little stuffed fish that was Lucas' as a kitten and a slightly larger stuffed fish that has a cavity for catnip. Second favorite are hair bands but after watching a cat have to have two dozen hairbands removed in an operation, hair bands are taken away immediately.

(24,007 posts)Petco sells a toy that looks like a giant ballpoint pen spring. 10 to a bag and very inexpensive. Our cats love these. They bat them around on their own, and also play fetch with them if we throw them.
