My baby moved out today. Younger Green Kid is headed to the Netherlands, and I am

alternately delighted for him and sad for me. Thank heavens for Zoom! (Really old timers will remember that he once participated in a photo contest here when he was 9.)

We got in one last beach trip. He always did love this rock.

We always have mixed feelings when our kids leave the nest.

I hope he will have a grand time in the Netherlands, and that you will discover how much satisfaction in your own life that you'll have during this time

Bon Voyage to you both!

Some have easier times than others. Me, I am used to the empty nest and I am OK with having the freedom to do what I want at my place.

What a wonderful chance to do something awesome. A long time ago my son (now 51) had his sophomore year in Innsbruck, Austria as a foreign exchange student. It was a defining time in his life and he made the most of it.

Wishing the best for you and your son!
