Name a seemingly banal or mundane moment that inexplicably fills (or filled) you with excitement

Mine is actually a childhood memory.

Visiting Washington DC when I was younger and taking the Metro.

When you go into an underground metro station and are waiting for your subway train, there are these lights lining the track on the platform that start to blink within about a minute of a train arriving.

I don't know what it was about it, but I remember whenever seeing those lights go off feeling this weird surge of excitement.

Like I couldn't see the train. I couldn't hear the train. But I knew that within a minute, the train would suddenly come out of the tunnel at the far end of the station and arrive and suddenly people would be getting on and off.

It didn't even have to be the train we were getting on. Some of the fun seemed to be whether the upcoming train would be our train or not. It was like a guessing game.

I don't know why it felt like such a cool moment, but it was for me.

I especially love when the store hangs their lamps on display instead of just piling them up on a shelf.

I have found the most amazing small picture frames by being patient and looking through stacks of picture frames.

Please donate.

They're hard to find, so I'm excited about it. (That's how pathetic my life is).
