And even though my legs got numb I would endure it rather than wake them up.

The 3 cats that would sleep together on my lap were my beloveds Rustle( he was a bit chonky) Sparkle and Vinnie.

She was pretty fierce when I first took them in. Had I second guessed myself and decided to wait another week, or so, to try and take them, she might have been a problem. Now she couldn't be any sweeter.

@ 2 years ago i adopted a rescue cat from local site. She was so fearful of people and other cats, they had to keep her in separate room(shared office with mgr.) Tranquilized and frequently seen by vet. They told me no one could get near her, but they knew i was trying to adopt an older black cat. The one i had gotten previously we could not keep, had nails and the cat i had did not (one of my pet peeves) and too dangerous for both. This one, already named Delaney, had claws but never used them....she was terrified of any human or cat.

When i went into office and sat in chair, talked softly to her, Delaney came to me and let me pet her. According to staff never happened before. Became less and less fearful at home, other cat ok as she posed no threat to her. After a few weeks she came out from bed. After a couple of months she would come sit on bed and let me per her. Over 3 years now, still super shy, not very open with strangers, but ok with vet care. Home life.

The bottom line: this is about Delaney and me. About 3 years now, still shy and quiet but loving to me and family trusting. ....... and MY depression is generally entirely gone. Good to read it happens to others too. Love works!
