Morgan decided to show a little attitude towards Sophie, this morning

One short, half hearted snarl from Sophie and the drama ended peacefully with Sophie heading back out to the screened in porch. I was RIGHT there, just in case.

Sophie is actually pretty 'meh' about the kittens, as long as they don't invade her personal space. They're in the playroom, right now, so Sophie is getting some personal attention.

Sophie will come around. Just the fact that she isn't hissing at them all day is a good sign. zuul Sep 2021 #1

I had an old man cat who was probably about 17 when I brought 2 kittens into the house. He was pretty blase at first, but would occasionally hiss at them if he was disturbed while napping.

Then he figured out that one of the kittens was blind. He was fascinated by her for a few weeks, watching her as she slowly walked across the room, swaying her head back and forth while using echolocation to find her way. Later he would try to walk past her without her noticing, but his stealth skills just weren't good enough. She could always sense it when he tried to creep around her. He wasn't afraid of her. I think he just wanted to see if he could fool her. Cats!

A few months later I would find them cuddled together when I got home from work. The old man cat was a deep sleeper and I think the kittens snuggled up with him when he was out of it. Obviously he didn't mind.

So I have no doubt that Sophie and any of the kittens you keep will be friends eventually.
